In tradition of YCB , every year YCB'ian Family members having their Iftar together. This year CTG, Dhaka and Cumilla YCB'ians arranged Iftar in 27th May and 2nd June 2018. Besides Having their iFtar they discuss also about upcoming program planning also. In Dhaka YCB Honorable Advisors, Directors, well wishers were also presented.
On 13th May 2018 , Team YCB attended an invitation from Metropoliton Chamber of Commerce (MCCI) . This year MCCI , GREY International and Common Purpose UK organised an Idea Competition named "অগ্রগামী" . From this competition top 4 group finalist are getting the chance to cascade their business idea infront of Distinguished guests and judge from Business icons of Bangladesh. Youth Club of Bangladesh President Arefin Rahman Himel is one of the finalist group and they were the Champion. A huge team of YCB got the invitation of such prestigious Gala Event which had been held at ICCB
Youth Club of Bangladesh (YCB) by the help of CMUD organised a corporate session for its member only on 12th May 2018 at CMUD Auditorium. Only members of YCB were participated for this important session under the guidance of Mohammad Wajedul Hoque, Senior Manager Commercial Bank of Cylon . This type of session is very important for students so that they can gather knowledge and prepare for the upcoming corporate life.
On 7th May 2018 To celebrate international Thalassaemia Day Bangladesh Thalassaemia Samity Hospital and Youth Club of Bangladesh organized a round table discussion with prominent doctors, Govt. Officials from DG health, researchers , patients, parents , media personals , social workers under the general instruction of DG Health. On this discussion everyone point out that awareness is the main key to eliminate Thalassaemia from Bangladesh. Govt. also planning to take some initiative for patient’s benefits. A dual language android apps named A to Z of Thalassaemia has been launched on that day.
The British High Commissioner, HE Ms Alison Blake, hosted a Commonwealth Big Lunch to celebrate the Commonwealth and build connections through sharing food and food for thought at her Residence in Dhaka on 18th April 2018.
Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury MP, Honourable Speaker of the Bangladesh Parliament attended as Chief Guest and the event brought together 150 people including the High Commissioners of Malaysia, Brunei, Canada and Sri Lanka, and Acting High Commissioners of Australia and Pakistan, representatives from the university and education sector, NGOs and civil society, medicine, businesses, Bangladeshi “Queen’s Young Leaders” and “Points of Light” award winner and the British Council’s “Active Citizens”. Among them 10 YCB'ians also attended this Big Launches.
The lunch celebrated the diversity and achievement of the Commonwealth and this year’s theme of ‘towards a common future’, with themed discussion of education, business and trade, women empowerment and girl’s education, climate change, health and working children.
This Independence Day is very special for YCB'ian Family because 100+ new YCB'ians graced the Family with new vive,new hope . A bunches of freshers received by the gorgeous #YCBians at CMUD. A leadership training also held besides the orientation ceremony. Zia Uddin Mahmud , Head of Operations , CareersHub and Arefin Rahman Himel, President YCB also present there as trainer of leadership training.
